When I start WMC Map I get an unhandled exception error similar to the following: (shown with details clicked)...
Solution: More often than not if you receive an unhandled exception error, it is due to your video drivers needing an update so that Microsoft DirectX can render the display for your map.
You can check whether the drivers are up to date by clicking on "Start" and going to "Run" and typing in "dxdiag" (then press enter). This will start the DirectX Diagnosis progarm. If it asks if you want to check if your drivers are digitally signed, click on "no".
In DxDiag, click on the "Display" tab and check that 'DirectDrawAcceleration' and 'Direct3D Acceleration' are Enabled, and that there are 'No problems found' in the Notes section. If these are all correct, there are no problems with your display drivers, so try downloading and installing the latest update and then try WMC Map again.
If problems are found, or either of DirectDraw Acceleration or Direct3D Acceleration are disabled, chances are that you'll need to update your display drivers, which you should be able to do by downloading new driver software from your display card manufacturers website.
