Email your farm map

There are two simple ways to email your farm map. If you are sending your map to another WMC Map user, or to us for support, you need to send your .wmc file. The other way to email a map is to create a pdf and send that.

To send your .wmc file: (This method will allow anyone who has .wmc map installed to view your farm map)

1. Open your email program and create a new message.
2. Attach your map file. You will need to find where you saved the file on your computer If you followed these instructions to create the file, it will be in My Documents\Maps. If your computer is set to show filename extension the file will have a .wmc extension. Otherwise, the file will only have your farm name for the filename and will have the wheresmycows logo for its icon.
3. Send your email with map attached.

To send a .pdf file: (This method will allow anybody to view your farm map as a pdf)

1. To create a pdf file you will need to install a pdf printer. We suggest downloading and installing the free pdf printer (pdf995) from www.pdf995.com.
2. Print your farm map (as shown in the print map section) using pdf995 as the selected printer. Make sure that you remember where you save your pdf file.
3. Attach your pdf file to an email following the steps for attaching a .wmc file, but attach the pdf you created rather than your .wmc file.
4. Send your email with map attached.
